Testament

Posted by Skrud at Tuesday, October 17th 2006 at 6:38pm

Following the dilemma and subsequent decision I ended up going to the Testament concert with my backstage passes. They played an awesome set of mostly old-school songs, much to the delight of the audience (now if only another legendary band would get the hint).

(The crappy picture is courtesy of Mike Metal, but so were the backstage passes :D)

That large pizza-eating behemoth in the back is none other than Chuck Billy and that guy standing next to me is guitar genius Alex Skolnick. And that picture wasn’t taken backstage, as you can see… it was taken on the tour bus.

So to those of you who actually went to the Suicide Girls show, how was it?

re: that photo, i absolutely love the guy in the back who looks like absolutely nothing can stop him from contemplating that pizza/calzone/thing.

Both you and Alex Skolnick kind of resemble Tom Araya a bit, in different ways. I’m seeing Araya all over!

That’s cool that they were so inviting to you guys, given that you are guys and not chicks.

I don’t suppose they played anything from The Gathering? I’m not a big Testament fan, my favorite Testament album is a non-standard one. I’d see them if they played a few songs from that one.

Yeah they did. They played True Believer and maybe one other song (I’m not too familiar with The Gathering).

Believe it or not that’s not the first time someone’s told me I look like Tom Araya … Geez.. :P
