Book Queue

Summertime is great for reading. Especially during Fantasia season when I spend hours waiting in line for movies. I finished Children of the Mind last night, so I figured this would be a good time to write down the list of books currently in my reading queue. In no particular order:
- Perdido Street Station by China Mieville
- Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlen
- The rest of the Ender series by Orson Scott Card (Ender’s Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon and Shadow Puppets since they’re on loan from Guillaume). Children of the Mind was the fourth book in the series.
Well, I just got up to go look at my bookshelf and ineed there is nothing more that I haven’t yet read. I want a break from Sci-Fi; I’ve read way too much recently. What I really want is a Banana Yoshimoto book. Amazon, here I come.
While I’m at it, I’ll also pick up JPod by Douglas Coupland and Dark Water by Koji Suzuki. After Ring, Spiral and Loop, and I can’t get enough Koji.

Stranger in a Strange land is an excellent book. May you grok it to its fullness.
I just bought Perdido Street Station and The Scar last week… they’re queued up and ready to go once I finish Battle Royale.
Damn, I really need to get off my lazy ass and do that book lending/review website I was thinking about.
I was thinking of making one of those websites for quite a while – that’s why I delayed adding a Books category for the forum for so long, because I was hoping to get a whole book review/lending system up and running.
I just never got around to doing it.
also known as 8035400…
Anyone got a hold of The Shadow of the Giant? It’s in the same serie.
I liked the original Ender’s Game better though.
