Geeks are wet sponges for information. They/we absorb information into any number of pores from any direction. Information assimilates itself into the very fibres of our existences. Many of the pearls of wisdom that find their way into the geek’s sticky honey-like absorbant centre later display themselves in subconscious recollections of randomly accessed data. These manifestations of knowledge apply themselves to making technological (and — depending on the kind of geek — artistic or mechanical) devices work like “magic”. It’s automatic. A geek reflex.
